least be able to check the ATRAC version number in the ATRAC version table.
Note: Unless otherwise specified, the listed units use Japanese standard frequency
bands (FM: 76-90MHz / AM: 531-1602KHz -- different from the US
standard)
Please accept our apologies for the relatively incomplete state of
this page. Over the years, more than 100 bookshelf systems
have been introduced in Japan that include MD recorders, but from an
MD standpoint, few are particularly noteworthy (MD in this context is
nearly as mundane as a cassette tape option). I have tried
to include systems below that are in some way unique with respect to
MD. If you would care to create a table entry (in HTML) for an
unlisted unit, please mail it to me and I will be happy to paste it
