- Sony Components at one time had brief parts brochures for MD audio
manufacturers (the Sony pages are gone and have subsequently been
hosted locally, for purposes of illustration only), giving English
information on MD optical pickups, loading units, mechanism kits, magnetic heads, and
spindle
motors. All their component
brochures make interesting browsing.

- Reichelt.de is a good source for inexpensive optical transmitters, receivers and

- Hero Electronics sell
Optical Transmitters and Receivers for home-constructors who wish to
build convertors. Hero are currently offering the GP1F32T for GBP 8.75
and the GP1F32R for GBP 10.25 or both together for GBP 12.40. There is

If you live in northern Europe, try out Elfa in Sweden. They carry a tremendous amount of electronic stuff, similar to Maplin UK.
