What is MiniDisc?

MiniDisc is a magneto-optical digital audio format introduced by Sony in 1992. Discs are rewritable, cartridge-protected, and support track naming, editing, rearranging, and portable recording.

Capacity: 60, 74, or 80 minutes
Audio codec: ATRAC family
