The CSD-MD50 offers all the advanced functions users expect in an MD deck. CD-MD synchronized recording (one track, all tracks, “single hit,” and programmed recording); full editing functions (divide, combine, move, erase, title); the extended recording mode allows continuous monaural recording of up to 160 minutes on a 80-minute disc; double-speed playback that allows users to quickly review recordings and a convenient track marking function (auto/time).

The CSD-MD50’s control panel features a multi jog dial that makes it simple to input MD titles using lowercase letters, kana characters, numbers and symbols ? up to 50 characters per title. The multi jog dial also makes it easy to search for MD or CD titles, and set the timer.
