MD/CD receiver achieves ultra-high-density mounting by mounting a thin MD mechanism and a thin CD mechanism in a 1DIN size housing. Focusing on the appearance when it fits on the dashboard, we have reduced the protrusion on the front to the same size as other 1DIN sizes. Equipped with a "3 mode font" function that allows you to select from 3 types of display fonts. A multifunctional full-dot FL tube is used for the display, enabling beautiful and precise display. In addition, it is equipped with DSP/EQ to expand the enjoyment of listening to music in the car. Equipped with a 45W x 4ch ultra-high power amplifier, a hybrid IC "System E's PRO" that reduces sound distortion, and a separate power IC. Achieved best-in-class sound quality.

Kenwood units from this era use a ribbon cable to connect the faceplate, it is known to wear out and break with use.
