SD card support is limited to non-SDHC/SDXC cards, with the biggest supported capacity being 2GB.
Requires the SD card to be formatted with FAT16.

Supports copying MD to SD (manual pg 40).
Supports high speed ripping all loaded in CDs to SD with one button press.
Supports high speed ripping CDs to MDs in SP, LP2 and LP4.

Supported quality levels on SD:

  • XP - 128kbps MP3
  • SP - 96kbps MP3
  • LP - 64 kbps MP3

Has a flashy "5CD Check" mode with a dedicated button that opens up all 5 CD changer trays into a stepped stack for checking the contents of the trays.
