The only difference between the LAM-Z1 and the LAM-1 is that the Z1 comes bundled with speakers while the 1 does not.

Sony's first netMD bookshelf system. It was launched alongside the MZ-N1, CMT-C7NT, and MDS-NT1 as the first generation of netMD devices.

Can write discs through netMD using Sony's SonicStage or OpenMG software. Device playback can also be controlled using these programs. Can also record to MD from CD at 4x speed.

Has been tested to work with Web Minidisc Pro.

The RMT-CL1 remote for this model takes CR2025 batteries.

The LAM-1/LAM-Z1 does not support muiltiple input voltages and has been shown to be very unstable on American 120V 60Hz power. The use of a 100V power transformer is strongly recommended.
