Dedicated voice recorder. Has track button on remote, voice activated recording, and built in microphone and speaker. This model supports Type-S recording, as well as synchro recording from an optical source. VERY long battery life (quoted at 20 hours of recording with both AAs and 100 hours of playback), which is probably helped by the fact that it is wired in parallel.

The MZ-B10 uses the same ATRAC IC (CXD2680-207GA) as many portable NetMD units, so if a breakout PCB could be made to connect to the correct place on the BGA chip, theoretically a USB IC and port could be added, allowing NetMD. Note the USB functionality may have been removed from the firmware.
