Upgraded version of the PDF-5. Sony ran an upgrade campaign from September 20, 1996 (Friday) - December 20, 1996 (Friday) where for 17,000 yen (including shipping, excluding tax) users could send in their PDF-5 to be upgraded to the PDF-5mkII.
