Hi-MD player only device. One of the first devices to be released, was launched alongside the MZ-NH1, MZ-NH3D, and LAM-X1. Came with fancy, backlit, 3 line, kana/kanji RM-MC40ELK remote.
Note: Uses the LIP-4WM battery which is no longer available. Most OEM versions have long since lost most of their capacity or even their ability to recharge, meaning the battery must be rebuilt in order to get any usable battery life.
