The MJ919 is the second single din 3+1 MD changer receiver manufactured by Kenwood. It is part of the 2000s "919" series. The MJ919 just like the M919 can often be seen paired with the D919 CD player as shown. Equipped with a "3 mode font" function that allows you to select from 3 types of display fonts. A multifunctional full-dot FL tube is used for the display, enabling beautiful and precise display. In addition, in order to achieve MD playback sound quality suitable for the highest peak of Kenwood car components, it is equipped with "24bit RESOLUTION MD", which has separate circuit configurations for ATRAC and DAC. It achieves MD sound quality of single item quality that surpasses the sound quality of CD. A hybrid IC "System E's PRO" that reduces sound distortion and an ultra-high power amplifier of 45W x 4ch realize sound quality suitable for a digital hybrid component.

In 2001 the "919" series was followed up by the "929" series, which featured the M929. The "929" series didn't include a "MJ" model, making the MJ919 the last single din MD changer receiver by Kenwood.
